National Hispanic Heritage Month- WGVU Public Media, PBS & NPR

Hispanic Heritage Month Recommended Programs

WGVU Public Media invites you to join us in honoring the remarkable contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to our communities and culture, both today and throughout history. Immerse yourself in the life of an iconic artist with 'Becoming Frida Kahlo.' And don’t miss our WGVU original program, 'Mutually Inclusive,' featuring the episode 'Workplace Barriers for Latinx Talent.' We celebrate the rich cultures, inspiring stories, and vital conversations that make our community vibrant.

For starters, we recommend watching this short clip from “Origin of Everything” explaining why we say “Latino,” and its use compared to when we use “Hispanic.”

Please Note: Access to PBS Passport will be required to watch some of these programs. PBS Passport is available to our Sustaining Members who contribute at least $5 per month (or $60+ annually) to WGVU.
