Lakeshore Mountain Biking Sisters

Lakeshore Mountain Biking Sisters (LMBS) was founded by Maria Diekema in June of 2020 at Riley Trails in Holland, Michigan. LMBS came out of a passion to encourage more women to mountain bike. We want to see women of all skill levels, age, color, shape, and size out riding their bikes. You won’t be left behind on our rides - our rides are no-drop. We offer a safe space for all women.

Miigwech - Changing Systems. Changing Lives.

Miigwech, Inc. is a nonprofit organization driven by a single goal: to promote and practice Mino-Bimaadiziwin (The Good Life) by making our community a better place for all. We provide services, share teachings, advocate for new policies, and build understanding of Mino-Bimaadiziwin within Wagankising and the greater community.

Rapid Growth - Grand Rapids park becomes ground zero for ecological and cultural restoration

In a peaceful forest in southeast Grand Rapids, wildflowers bloom beside Plaster Creek, and towering oaks and elms look much the same as they did more than a century ago. Ken-O-Sha Park is one of the rarest urban landscapes in Michigan, an ecological time capsule hiding in plain sight.

Protect Our Winters

Protect Our Winters (POW) turns outdoor passion into climate action. From helping pass the largest climate bill in U.S. history to defending public lands, POW drives political will and highlights the science and economic upside of climate progress.

Protect Our Great Lakes - Compact Implementation Coalition

The Compact Implementation Coalition is fighting to keep a STRONG compact that protects our waters for future generations by working with Regional Partners and other organizations to engage the public in the discussion about and determination of the great resources we share, to preserve and protect these vital resources for future generations to use and enjoy.

Protect The Porkies - Stop the Copperwood Mine in Michigan's UP

Protect the Porkies is a volunteer-based initiative dedicated to spreading awareness about the harms of a proposed mining facility that would be devastating for Lake Superior and the natural surrounding area. They uphold the idea that the Porcupine Mountains and Lake Superior don't just belong to a single township, county or state — they belong to all of us, and they belong to no one but themselves.
