There, she supported nuclear disarmament efforts and helped strengthen democratic institutions.
As Board President, Kristen led the successful passage of a community bond, launched Junior Kindergarten, and stood up to Moms for Liberty and MAGA extremists who attempted to ban books and target LGBTQ+ students and educators.
Kristen lives in Cascade with her husband, Joel. They have three children. She is running for the State House because she believes public service is about bringing people together and delivering results for the communities you serve.
Kris Pachla - Republican
Kris Pachla
Republican Candidate for Michigan's House of Representatives in Michigan's 80th Congressional District for the 2026 Michigan Primary Election.

Kris Pachla is a former high school physics teacher, a dad of young kids, a county commissioner, and a proven leader. Whether in the classroom, at GVSU, in the community, or on the county board, Kris knows not just how to listen to the issues but is enough of a policy nerd to know how to solve those issues. On the City Commission, Kris championed sustainability initiatives like a carbon neutrality plan, citywide composting, and electric vehicles in fleet. On the County Commission, Kris fought back against MAGA extremists who wanted to harm the health department, and stood up for early childhood education, and worked to improve our recycling across the county. At the state house, he’ll focus on Education, the Environment, and Everyday Economics as we fight back against rising costs in housing, healthcare, childcare, and transportation. He’s serious. He’s ready to go. And he’s proud to have your support.

District 91
Frank Lafata - Democrat
Frank Lafata
Democratic Candidate for Michigan's House of Representatives in Michigan's 91st Congressional District for the 2026 Michigan Primary Election.

Frank Lafata is a retired union carpenter, proud husband, father, and grandfather. He’s a 30-year resident of Greenville, MI, with decades of hands-on experience in the trades, working on major projects like Grand Rapid’s “Miracle Mile”, the redesign of the “S” curve, and Cook nuclear plant as well as many other infrastructure projects throughout Michigan.
He knows what it means to put in an honest day’s work and how important it is to get an honest wage for that work. He understands the importance of showing up, listening and standing up for the people of the 91st District.
His primary reason for running is he believes that many, if not most, of our current representatives have lost touch with the people they serve. They seem to be more interested in advancing their political careers than doing the right thing for the people. He knows he can provide his district with better representation than they are getting now, and he is ready to do that!

District 92
Luke Del Castillo - Democrat
Luke Del Castillo
Democratic Candidate for Michigan's House of Representatives in Michigan's 92nd Congressional District for the 2026 Michigan Primary Election.

Luke Del Castillo is a community builder, nonprofit leader, and candidate for Michigan State Representative in the 92nd District. He is running because he has seen how hard people fight for the places they love, and he believes they deserve a state government willing to fight just as hard for them.
Luke built his career working alongside small business owners, entrepreneurs, artists, local leaders, and families across Mid-Michigan. In economic and community development, he helped people navigate resources, turn ideas into businesses, strengthen downtowns, and build partnerships across rural communities. That work taught him that Michigan does not suffer from a lack of hardworking people or good ideas. Too often, the real problem is a system that makes it unnecessarily difficult for people and communities to succeed.

She knows what it’s like to stretch a paycheck and make the tough choices that keep a household moving forward. With nearly half the district’s residents living as the working poor, Tracy believes it’s time for representation that puts the people of the 100th District first, not Lansing.
