Why Give Through a Donor-Advised Fund?

Giving through a donor-advised fund allows you to be flexible in your charitable giving decisions, as the timing of the tax deduction can be separate from the recommendation to support a specific charity. When you make a donation to a donor-advised fund, you are generally eligible for an immediate tax deduction. You can then recommend grants to IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) public charities (including WGVU Public Media) at time periods you determine makes the most sense for you.
 

When you recommend a gift to WGVU Public Media through your donor-advised fund you will need the following information:

• WGVU’s legal name is: Grand Valley State University – WGVU Public Media (note: WGVU Public Media is licensed through Grand Valley State University and as such we share one Federal Tax ID number)
• Our Federal Tax ID # (EIN) is: 38-1684280.
