By a two-to-one margin, Rockford Republican Peter MacGregor defeated Democrat Scott Schuiling in Kent County’s 73rd State House race.
“Our governor and the house our objective was, from day one two years ago to make Michigan a top 10 state, it’s economy a top 10 state, we’re almost there we’re in the mid-teens. We’re at about 15, 16, these next two years we will be a top 10 state.”
MacGregor celebrated his win at an Ottawa-Kent County Republican victory party held in downtown Grand Rapids.
