Ashton Faucette Jr.
January 15, 2010 | WGVU   Ashton Faucette Jr.  is something of a soapbox racing legend. He now lives in Michigan but grew up in Durham, North Carolina where he learn to build and race soapbox derby cars. Ashton became a local champion and moved on to the national stage at the age of 13 when he competed in the All American Soapbox Derby in Akron, Ohio.

Ashton Faucette Jr. remembers his soapbox derby days of the 1940’s and meeting boxing legend Joe Louis.  CLICK HERE to see the photo of Ashton with Joe Louis.
