We hear a lot about gender roles in today’s society.  An event next week at Grand Valley State University will explore the subject in depth.  The Men in Action” conference looks at the culture of masculinity and manhood and gender norms.

Today on WGVU Midday West M, David Moore talks with Dr.  Michael Kimmel, Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at the State University of New York. (SUNY)

Kimmel, a co-presentor at the conference, stresses that that masculinity deals with a lot more than just being male.
