Funding mass transit---not a popular thing among state lawmakers?

Rick Snyder has spent most of this year asking for a long-term solution to
Michigan’s road problems.
month, the state legislature passed a $49 billion budget. It includes $49 billion
for road repairs.
Snyder wanted an extra $1 billion or so a year for public
transportation. Some of it was planned for busses and trains too.
Michigan Now’s Chris McCarus reports on why
politicians usually don’t fund mass transit.
