GVSU Lincoln collection provides deep insight into the life and times of Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln

David Moore
December 26, 2012 | WGVU

An historical adaptation of the life of the sixteenth President of the United States has been a box office smash.

Starring Daniel Day-Louis and Sally Field, the movie provides a fascinating glimpse into the character of Abraham Lincoln.

But while the movie is engrossing, an extensive collection of Lincoln memorabilia here in West Michigan gives us a deeper insight into the man and the time in which he lived.

Today on WGVU Midday West Michigan, David Moore talks with Grand Valley State University Archivist Robert Beasecker about the Lincoln connection.
