Michigan Proposal 1 debate
  April 21, 2015  |  WGVU  In less than three weeks Michigan voters will decide if Proposal 1’s sales tax increase is the best way to fix the state’s roads and bridges. The sales tax would increase from 6 to 7-percent generating $1.3 billion dollars a year over the next 10 years. It includes raising $300 million in additional public school funding and $95 million in new revenue for local governments. On WGVU’s “West Michigan Week” the pros and cons of Proposal 1 were debated with Paul Mitchell, Chairman of the Coalition Against Higher Taxes and Special Interest Deals opposes Prop 1, and John LaMacchia, Legislative Associate with the Michigan Municipal League and a supporter from Safe Roads Yes!

Django Reinhardt & Family honored in a new recording Koblenz
  April 21, 2015  |  WGVU  A new Gypsy jazz recording from Europe celebrates the tradition of Django Reinhardt and his family. Koblenz by violinist Daniel Weltlinger has just been released in the U.S.
