Penguin books is celebrating by reissuing two of his most beloved books, "Travels with Charley: In Search of America" and "The Portable Steinbeck." Steinbeck scholar and director of the Center for Steinbeck Studies at the University of San Jose has written a new introduction to "The Portable Steinbeck." Yesterday Michigan Supreme Court to decide fate of 350 juvenile lifers March 6, 2014 | MPRN Life without parole used to be the automatic sentence for juveniles who were tried as adults and convicted of first degree murder. That was until June of 2012, when the US Supreme Court ruled that automatic life without parole for juveniles was unconstitutional.
