New Michigan policy will strip welfare benefits if kids miss school - MIDDAY
David Moore October 1, 2012 | WGVU A new state law taking effect today ties public assistance benefits to school attendance. Put simply, the law cuts off cash welfare payments if a child has more than ten unexcused absences.
