The Faithful Scribe (Part 2)

August 17, 2014 | WGVU   Our guest is Shahan Mufti, author of The Faithful Scribe: A Story of Islam, Pakistan, Family, and War, a book about the cultural and religious roots of modern Pakistan.

Shahan Mufti is a journalist who has been published by Harper's, Wired, The New York Times Magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, and many others.

Shahan is a graduate of New York University, Middlebury College, and the United World College of the American West. He served as a Fulbright scholar in India in 2004 and 2005.

He lives with his wife in Richmond, Virginia, where he is an assistant professor of journalism at the University of Richmond.
