Patrick Center joined WGVU in December, 2008, after eight years of investigative reporting at Grand Rapids' WOOD TV8 and three years at WYTV News Channel 33 in Youngstown, Ohio. As News Director, Patrick manages our daily news operation. An award winning reporter, Patrick is an EMMY Award nominee and was named Best Individual Reporter by the Michigan Associated Press and presented with the Best Individual Reporter Merit Award by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters. . He remains loyal to his boyhood professional sports teams: Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers. Although he grew up in the "buckeye" state, he has fallen in love with the people and natural resources of West Michigan. |

Shelley Irwin is a Producer/Host for WGVU. Shelley produces the Morning Show, featuring local and national newsmakers. She comes to WGVU from Detroit's ABC radio affiliate WJR, where she produced and reported for a variety of shows. She has also worked at WXYZ-TV in Detroit and has represented Pontiac on the Auto Show Circuit. She holds a Master's Degree from the University of Indianapolis. Shelley is a runner and chases after her 2 dogs. |

David Moore is WGVU Radio's long-time local host of "Morning Edition." He joined the staff in 1987, and has been in radio since 1974. David is the station's religion reporter and in addition, covers a variety of other news stories and also anchors newscasts for WGVU's "Mid-Day West Michigan." He says that "although radio has changed dramatically over the years, one thing will always stay the same for me: getting the news out in a fair and unbiased manner without compromise." David is an amateur genealogist and has traced one line of his family tree back to Switzerland in 1502. David and his wife Gina, both animal lovers, share their Wyoming home with their dogs from the Humane Society of Kent County, where he serves on the Board of Directors. Scott VanderWerf is WGVU Radio's Music Director and Arts and Entertainment Editor. Producing "The Travelin' Blues," "21st Century World Radio Show," "Artist Showcase" and Prime Time Jazz beginning every weeknight at 7p.m., Scott also hosts "All Things Considered - West Michigan" and "Movie Talk," and contributes cultural reviews on "Mid-Day West Michigan." Born in Michigan, Scott attended Western Michigan University, Southern Illinois University and Aquinas College. He created "The Electric Church" on GRTV, and has published numerous articles, reviews and interviews on books, music and films. |
