City of Grand Rapids clearing flood debris from Fulton Street bridge archways

April 22, 2013 | WGVU  Over the weekend Grand Rapids Mayor declared a State of Emergency. The Grand River cresting early this morning, the State of Emergency put the city in line to receive state and federal funds should the city’s infrastructure sustain flood damage. There are a number of building evacuations and bridge closures downtown. WGVU was in City Commission chambers for Sunday’s news conference.
