Muskegon Clippers a fan favorite in new baseball league

July 21, 2014 | WGVU  They’ve been playing baseball in Muskegon since businessman Charles W. Marsh built Marsh Field in 1916. It’s seen teams come and go. This year, in its inaugural season, the Muskegon Clippers take the field as members of the all-wood bat Michigan Summer Collegiate Baseball League. There are six teams in all from Holland, Grand Rapids and Detroit. The Clippers are winning and drawing crowds.
