Today’s teenagers face a lot of challenges: Peer pressure, bullying, getting along with parents.  But perhaps among the greatest is finding someone to confide in, without fear of being judged.

A Grand Rapids pediatrician is trying to be that “someone” with his young patients.  Dr. Eugene Shatz, MD, is a specialist in adolescent medicine at Spectrum’s DeVos Childrens’ Hospital.

Today on WGVU Midday West Michigan, he tells our David Moore his goal with teen “reality check-ups”  is to help young people get out in front of issues they may be secretly struggling with.
