The Hidden History of Women's Ordination

August 25, 2013 | WGVU   We welcome Dr. Gary Macy to Common Threads to discuss his book, The Hidden History of Women's Ordination: Female Clergy in the Medieval West.

Dr. Macy has published several books and over twenty articles on the theology and history of the Eucharist and on women's ordination. In 1991-2, Dr. Macy was Heroditus Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and during the 2005-2006 academic year was Senior Luce Fellowship at the National Humanities Center in North Carolina.  In 2007, Dr. Macy was appointed John Nobili, S.J. Professor of Theology at Santa Clara University.
