Common Threads

Common Threads was created 10 years ago as a coproduction of WGVU Radio & The Interfaith Dialogue Association (www.interfaithdialogueassociation.org). The mission of the show is to provide intelligent conversations with clerics, authors, journalists  & lay members of the various world religions on topics that we hope interest the thinking public.

Common Threads is hosted by Fred Stella, President of The Interfaith Dialogue Association. Fred comes to this program with over 3 decades of broadcast experience & a lifetime of study in Religion & Spirituality. Among his accomplishments, Fred recently completed a 30-city lecture tour of India, where he spoke on the importance of preserving indigenous culture & religion.  He has contributed articles & essays to several publications over the years; & lectures locally at churches, schools & civic organizations as well.

Since its inception the show has earned high marks from its guest, both local & national. In this age of “hit & run” sound-bite journalism, the ability to have a relaxed, nonconfrontational interview in the tradition of “Fresh Air” or “ The Diane Rhem Show” is a refreshing alternative.
