This summer, WGVU is teaming up with The Loop and Meijer to get Grand Rapids kids moving!  Students in nine Loop summer programs throughout the city are counting up their steps and trying to mark as many miles as it takes to walk from West Michigan to South Africa – 8412!  They have all summer to reach their target, and they’ll celebrate at the end with a party.

These kids are walking, running, swimming, jumping and playing their way to their goal – and they’re making impressive progress!
