ITV Overview + Benefits and Services

Instructional television series are designed specifically for K-12 classroom use. Most ITV series are 15-20 minutes in length and are curriculum-based. That is, they present one specific concept that is part of the teaching curriculum. Most ITV series are accompanied by a teacher guide which provides lesson plans and discussion questions designed to make the video an active teaching tool.

WGVU-TV broadcasts ITV series from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Monday - Friday during the school year. We also "block feed" series, that is run them in their entirety during the year. This allows teachers to set VCRs and record the series for later use, or store series with digital rights on video servers.
