WGVU Major Gifts Coordinator

WGVU is seeking a Major Gifts Coordinator to manage a portfolio of donors and prospects and will be responsible for actively cultivating, soliciting, closing, and stewarding gifts. This is an externally-focused position, working closely with donors and with WGVU leadership. Minimum of three years’ experience working with donors within the philanthropic community and a Bachelor’s degree are required. See our website at www.gvsujobs.org for a full description. INTERNSHIPS

WGVU Business Development Internship Opportunity

Qualifications:
Minimum 10 hours per week, during business hours. Candidate must be organized, and possess good communication skills (verbal, written, and social media), thorough, attentive to detail, energetic, and interested in learning broadcast sales process through first-hand experience.

Internship Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Update, secure and compile e-mail databases for clients and prospects.
  2. Creation of sales materials.
  3. Process traffic orders, marketing orders, production orders, and follow each through systems, to completion.
  4. Accompany Business Development Coordinator on sales calls.
  5. Reconcile invoices to orders monthly.
  6. Collections.
  7. Cover phones during Challenge Grant Pledge programs.
  8. Assist with station events.
  9. Appointment setting.
  10. Appointment preparation:  Identify and prepare appropriate sales materials, agenda for appointment, confirm appointment.
  11. Assist with creative and production of TV and radio spots.
  12. Assist with identification of target accounts for specific programs and campaigns.
  13. Appointment setting.
  14. File maintenance.
  15. Other duties as assigned

WGVU Marketing & Special Events Internship Opportunity

WGVU Public Media has an exciting internship opportunity to gain professional experience while expanding your resume by working alongside the Marketing Department to assist with Special Events, and Marketing duties for the station. This is an exciting opportunity to gain professional experience while adding to your portfolio and expanding your resume. Typical work tasks assigned to the successful candidate may include general Web site maintenance (editing content, updating links, uploading PDFs and images) add/edit events on the Web site calendar, PhotoShop image and graphic creation, general Web site, video players, and social media. WGVU Public Media is happy to work with students at the university/college level to achieve academic credit for the internship. This is an on-site opportunity with flexible hours.
