The
local project offers a replicable model consisting
of the implementation of three categories of interrelated
activities creating local to global links to improve
health. The project will engage not only adults
but educate children in West Michigan, our future leaders
and world travelers, many who lack adequate nutrition
and health care like their counter parts in other countries.
The issues surrounding the lack of clean water, proper
hygiene, medicine, and adequate nutrition, will be
addressed through hands-on educational activities,
fund raising, and a sustained “reading exchange
project” connecting youth in West Michigan with
youth in Nicaragua. |
