The Priority Health Cycling team is made up of 65 members on various teams as well as 35 individuals who are involved in a club that participates with the team. The Cycling Team competes in events throughout the world, though most racing is here in the Midwest. The team members range in age from high school to a Masters level team.
One of the team members won Bronze, Silver and Gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Para-Olympics and competes in world championships all over the world. Among the team members are many state champions in Road, Criterium, Time Trial, Track, and Cyclo Cross racing.
This is the second year that Priority Health Cycling Team has staffed the telephone bank for the WGVU TV Membership Drive. Last year they were able to provide support on two nights. Even though the teams excel at their sport, there is a desire to contribute in other areas and give back to the communities where they live.
The Priority Health Cycling Team leads out the Kalamazoo Girls on the Run 5K and the River Bank Run Hand Cyclists. The team has a big presence with the Make A Wish Foundation, and have participated with American Cancer Society, Leukemia/Lymphoma, JDRF and many other significant charitable organizations.
Activity of the team can be followed at the Team Priority Website at http://www.teampriorityhealth.com/ or on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/TeamPriorityHealth.
