Caroline MacGregor hails from Dublin, Ireland where she spent her formative years before her family emigrated to Johannesburg, South Africa. After the sudden loss of her father, Caroline’s family moved back to Ireland where she completed high school. Missing the sunnier climes of South Africa, Caroline and her family returned to what she considers one of the most beautiful cities in the world: Cape Town, a cosmopolitan city nestled in spectacular Table Bay on South Africa’s south-western coast where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet.
After studying at the University of South Africa, Caroline was hit with the travel bug and returned to Europe, residing in London for a couple of years where she worked as a flight attendant before moving to the US where she was in charge of media liaison for the South African Embassy in Washington, DC and later as a flight attendant for Whirlpool Corp. Before Reporting for WGVU, Caroline worked for KTAR News Talk Radio in Phoenix and several Midwest radio stations including Wood Radio in Grand Rapids.
“Although not my original home, I enjoy the opportunity West Michigan offers to be outdoors and take advantage of the natural playground provided by the area’s lakes and rivers. I enjoy water sports, love to kayak, horse ride and upon occasion, play golf,” said Caroline.
Caroline stated, “Working as a news reporter for WGVU, I am honored to be a part of the station’s strong commitment to the local community!”
