Steve is proud to be part of WGVU where he has served the public’s interests since 1998 as grant writer & a project manager. His main focus is applying for and administering grants from a variety of funding programs in support of technology, programming, and community engagement initiatives.
Some of the team efforts Steve has been a part of include the digital conversion of WGVU; securing support for WGVU productions; and community engagement projects focusing on health, and education; and other topics of interest to communities served. He is currently working on a WGVU Engage project… “Get Your Diploma. Get Your Dream.,” which is part of American Graduate: Let’s Make it Happen, a public media initiative made possible by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Steve is a member of the Grant Leadership Advisory Team of Grand Valley State University. He grew up in Southern California, moved to Michigan in 1974, and holds a B.A in Psychology from Hope College in Holland. He is blessed with a wonderful wife named Deb, daughter Leah, and soft coated wheaten terrier named Max. Steve enjoys quiet times with his family, playing tennis (although it’s been a while), and – can you believe – body surfing.
