I have been an employee of WGVU for over 19 years. I began as a Television Maintenance Engineer in 1992 and was promoted to Engineering Supervisor in 1996. When I started at WGVU we had two television stations and one radio station. I have been a part of WVGU’s growth to four radio stations and the transition from Analog to Digital TV. I supervise four engineers and student and temporary employees as well.
I have been working in the electronic communications field since 1983 when I was an Electronics Technician in the U.S. Navy, where my specialty was Satellite Communications.
I very much enjoy the continually evolving nature of my work and the challenges that come with it.
My wife Rita and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary this year. We raised two daughters together and now are raising two German Shepard dogs.
I have lived in Michigan nearly my entire life and love the climate and year-round activities. I enjoy riding bicycles for fun and fitness, and boating on the Grand River and Lake Michigan.
I was on WGVU’s Carrier Crew and was part of the very successful LZ Michigan event. I also help out at other WGVU events running the Technology exhibits and answer viewer and listener calls.
